The NetBiome-CSA project consortium has held its kick-off meeting in Punta Delgada (San Miguel Island, Azores, Portugal) on the 9th and 10th of July 2013. The gathering was hosted by the project coordination partner -Fundo Regional para a Cienca (FCT) from Azores - and was attended by most of the consortium partners and several representatives of different institutions from the Azores Regional Government. Moreover, and in order to take advantage that most of the joint financing representatives from the 2010 ERA-NET Net-Biome call were attending the NetBiome-CSA meeting, a Steering Committee meeting of the aforementioned call took place the 11th July 2013, that was hosted by the Joint Call Secretariat of the 2010 call which is currently coordinated by FCT Azores too.
After six intense training days, on Saturday July 20th 2013 ended the Fourth edition of the PLOCAN Glider School in the Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands (PLOCAN) headquarters in Telde, Gran Canaria.
