Commissioner Maria Damanaki presented the Atlantic Strategy at the Lisbon Atlantic Conference held the 28th and 29th of November 2011, in Portugal. Over 1,500 representatives from public and private institutions from 5 European countries involved (Britain, Ireland France, Spain and Portugal) attended the event. The strategy sets out the main fields of action to target major European dimension projects for this area, but seeking collaboration with the American countries of the Atlantic.
