After six intensive training days, on Saturday November 22nd 2014, concluded the Fifth edition of the PLOCAN Glider School held at the Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands (PLOCAN) headquarters in Telde, Gran Canaria.
November 13, 2014 - Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Kiel. GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel, the Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands (PLOCAN) and the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) join forces to boost marine research activities, education and technology at Gran Canary. The three partners signed an agreement at the Presidency of the Government of the Canary Islands while a long-term mesocosm experiment on the effects of ocean acidification is running at PLOCAN under the direction of GEOMAR.
