Last 27th February and due to New Jersey Governor, Thomas Kean visit to Coastal Observation and Ocean Lab installations of Rutgers University (USA), it was planned a videoconference with PLOCAN, where Governor was informed about international collaboration that Rutgers and PLOCAN have, remarking the importance of this collaboration for both institutions in fields as training and student interchange between them, which has been done since 2009.
On Friday February 10th, Mr. Albert Segura, sales manager for submarine cables in PRYSMIAN, company leader in the manufacture and sales of electrical cables, gave a speech in PLOCAN about the viability of connection between Gran Canaria and Tenerife via submarine power link.
