On 22nd and 23rd January, the Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands hosted the training course “Initiation to the Arduino Uno board” . The course was given to secondary school teachers currently participating in the Robotic Submarine Workshop for secondary school pupils 2015/2016.

“Initiation to the Arduino Uno board” was organised within the framework of PLOCAN's EDUROVs project, whose aim is to motivate students and attract them towards technology through the construction and remote operation of Remotely Operated underwater Vehicles (ROVs). In addition, the project is intended to boost the students' imagination so that they are aware that all aspects of the ROVs must respect the marine environment.
