With regard to the collaborative operational framework and services between PLOCAN and National Oceanographic Centre (NOC) in the field of unmanned autonomous underwater vehicles, on Wednesday November 21, 2012 took place at the NOC headquarters (Southampton, UK) a meeting by technical staff from both institutions in order to complete all the details related to the tests that NOC plans to perform with Autosub-LR between January and March 2013 in waters off Gran Canaria.

The achievement of these tests will involve the continued stay of technical staff from NOC at PLOCAN facilities during the mentioned period, to provide logistic support by PLOCAN when needed from NOC for a suitable development of the planned tests, as well as the possibility to learn on AUVs technology by the PLOCAN technical staff directly involved on them.
