On Friday June 22 Peter Marrero and Elsa Reyes belonging to the company Aerogeneradores Canarios SA, conducted the conference "ACSA, wind turbine plant in Gran Canaria and TEAF" within PLOCAN Learning Plan. 

Elsa Reyes is an industrial engineer with experience in the field of renewable energies and Pedro Marrero is the founder of ACSA and other companies involving engineering projects and wind farms operations such as TECNICANARIAS SA or PECSA. Pedro Marrero has contributed significantly to the development of wind energy in Spain with the installation of the first commercial wind farm in Spain or the manufacture of the first wind turbine with variable angle blades in Spain, among other achievements.

During the presentation, Elsa Reyes summarized the activities of ACSA including the design, installation, construction, operation and maintenance of the wind turbine ACSA A27 and, facilities and wind farms based on this technology. It is noteworthy that ACSA is one of the few companies worldwide that cover the medium power market segment as it is the A-27 with 225 k. Afterwards Pedro Marrero revealed us the characteristics of the TEAF Magnus, an innovative model of wind turbine, internationally patented and based on the acceleration of the air flow and the Magnus effect, from which he is inventor.

PLOCAN and ACSA are studying the possibilities for the development of this technology in the marine environment.
