01-07-2011. Participation of PLOCAN in the technical sessions organized by ENERMAR.

 The second edition of the Technical Sessions "Ocean and Renewable Energies. The contribution of the Naval and Oceanic Engineering" took place on June 30th and July 1st 2011 in Santander (Spain). These sessions were organized by ENERMAR, the Working Group in Ocean Renewable Energies supported by the Spanish Association of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers. 

The main aim of these sessions was to spread out the technical and scientific capabilities of the Naval and Oceanic Engineering, showing the current actuations and relevant projects which are ongoing in close cooperation with developers, utilities, and marine industries; technological centres, academia and universities; shipyards, classification societies; etc. It is expected that this event will become a reference point for the Renewable Energies Sector, boosting the cooperation among the participants.

The director of PLOCAN, Octavio Llinás González, has actively participated in these sessions in the round table entitled "Support of the autonomous communities to the development of the marine renewable energies", in which other representatives of the public and private sectors were also involved:

  • D. Rajai Aghabi Rivas, Project Manager. IREC (Catalonia Institute for Energy Research).
  • D. Fermín Corté Díaz, Director of FAEN (Asturian Energy Foundation).
