13-04-2011. The mission lets to start a direct collaboration between Teledyne Webb Research company (TWR) and PLOCAN.

Silbo G2 Slocum glider was deployed by PLOCAN's technical staff on 13^th April at the East coast of Gran Canaria as a test mission mode and drived off to the Rapid Watch site to check its functionality in deep waters (1000 m.)

The two-weeks mission has been scheduled as follow: 5 days navigation to reach the area of interest, 5 days working as "virtual mooring" on site and 5 days navigation back to Gran Canaria.

It is expected to recover Silbo next 26^th April 2011.

The mission is being carried out in partnership between Teledyne Webb Research, Rutgers University and NOCS.
