24-09-2010. Multidisciplinary marine technology for deep-ocean observation.

From 20 to 24 September another OCEANS conference was held in Seattle (Washington, USA).Sponsored by IEEE-OES and MTS, the event has established itself as one of the world's leading conferences on marine technology aimed at observing and exploring the ocean, bringing together a large contingent from the international scientific community and the main governmental institutions and companies in the industry.

Over four days the most innovative and relevant scientific studies, projects and results, as well as products available on the market, were presented by a wide range of representatives from companies specialising in marine technology aimed at deep-ocean exploration and monitoring. There was a growing and notable presence of glider-type submarine vehicles, AUVs and ROVs, a field in which PLOCAN is highly active through its VIMAS department (the Department for Submarine Vehicles, Instruments and Machines).
