On Monday 12th November, 2012, at PLOCAN headquarters in Taliarte, Telde (Gran Canaria), the Norwegian company Christian Michelsen Research –CMR-, through Mr. David Peddie, will present its autonomous device for ocean observations, Sailbuoy.
On Friday October 26th, Scott McLean gave the talk entitled: "The Ocean Networks Canada Observatory", within PLOCAN Permanent Training Program.

On Wednesday, October 24th, 2012, an autonomous device –underwater glider- named P201and owned by PLOCAN, began a new mission in the waters off the NE coast of Gran Canaria heading the European Station for Time-Series in the Ocean –Canaries- (ESTOC).
ICOE (International Conference on Ocean Energy) is the main international event on ocean energies, it has just been held in Dubin from 17 to 19 October 2012, with the participation of over 900 representatives of the sector worldwide.
