Desarrollo e implementación de interrogador de redes de Bragg para monitorización en entornos marinos

In recent years, the rapid development of optical fiber technology has led to the emergence of many related applications. Within the field of sensor technology, fiber optic sensors are beginning to be competitive with traditional sensors thanks to the unique advantages they offer. Some of these advantages are the immunity against electromagnetic interference, its low weight and volume, the robustness against corrosion, the long useful life of this type of sensors and the capacity of multiplexing and of making measurements in long distances without needing to feed the sensors locally. Among the fiber optic sensors, the Bragg Networks (Fiber Bragg Gratting, FBG) allow the measurement of deformations, temperatures, pressures and vibrations among other parameters.

Therefore, the general objective of the SensorBragg project is the development of a Bragg network that can be used in marine environments. Specifically, the project will allow to acquire and store data from FBG sensors that can be interpreted as different physical magnitudes depending on the application.
