Plataforma de cooperación en náutica deportiva Canarias–Cabo Verde

The CANAUTIC project aims, through a collaborative work between the institutions of the marine and maritime sectors of the Canary Islands and Cape Verde, to promote sustainable territorial development through the integration of economic activities in coastal zones of the Canary Islands and Cape Verde and by establishing a framework of rational use of the coastal zone based on social, economic and environmental criteria. The project is divided into three distinct phases.

  • First phase: for the identification of port infrastructures dedicated to boating and for environmental and socio-economic diagnosis. As an element of sustainability, a study on the use of renewable energy in port infrastructures linked to boating in Cape Verde and the Canary Islands will be drawn up.

  • Second phase: as distinguishing elements, maps of coastal uses shall be provided. These will be focused on the uses linked to nautical sports. In addition, nautical connection routes between the Canary Islands and Cape Verde will be described to feed the CANAUTIC GIS portal. On the other hand the CANAUTIC Technical Conferences will be organised.

  • Third phase: launching of the CANAUTIC cooperation platform and implementation of the project communication plan.
