EGO 2019

The 8th EGO Meeting and International Glider Workshop (biennial international conference on glider technologies) was celebrated at the Rutgers University in New Brunswick, (NJ, USA). More than 200 participants, which included worldwide user groups and major manufacturers of this type of ocean observing systems, attended the meeting.

EuroMarine Robots en Toulon

The third Plenary Assembly of the European EUroMarineRobots –EUMR- (Marine Robotics Research Infrastructure Network) Project, which objective is to develop a large number of vehicles, tools and infrastructure in order to be available to the scientific community and research and development groups through transnational access, was celebrated in the Head Office of Ifremer in Toulon (France).

VII Encuentro Robótica Marina

The VII Educational Marine Robotics Meeting of PLOCAN, organised by PLOCAN with the collaboration of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECyT), ‘La Caixa’ Foundation, the Municipal Council of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, the Canary Island Research, Innovation and Information Society Agency of the Canary Island Government (ACIISI) and the University of Gerona, was celebrated in San Bartolomé de Tirajana. During this year, 92 high schools from Spain and Portugal have partipated in the EDUROVs initiative, and 50 of them attended the event celebrated in the municipal pool of San Fernando de Maspalomas. Moreover, the Vice President and Minister of Public Works and Transport of the Government of the Canary Islands, Pablo Rodríguez, the Government Sub-delegate in Las Palmas, Teresa Mayans, the General Director of Universities of the Government of the Canary Islands, Ciro Gutiérrez, the Mayor of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Marco Aurelio Pérez and the executive of La Caixa, Francisco Trujillo also attended the meeting.
